I think you have a point, one thing I heard about the FC Halifax Town boss Billy Heath who got sacked was that he did not have the contacts in the game to sign players from hence why he over relied on his old club North Ferriby. I hope Richard Marshall has a good relationship with people at other clubs, I guess he has with Cas so we shall see.
A club's Board does need RL experience which maybe the current Board doesn't?

I think if Pete is putting on twitter things like that then he really doesn't understand what being a director is.....it's about stopping mistakes like that before they happen . That's what managers and owners should do. What is in place to stop it happening again and has the full conversation been had with Rm. he of all people knows the money situation I can't help but think Richard needs to become far more innovative with the opportunities and resources he has to resolve the problems. To be fair to the board I think they have provided him with all they could this year . It's up to him to start being more flexible and listen more. Get Sheridan or someone in from Cas to have a good hard look at what we do and pull it apart a bit. There is no problem behind closed doors. Rm needs to be far more open to change perhaps we have been too accommodating to him. I just get the feeling this year he's off the pace as were some of our players at season start.

Knowing Peter with his passion for the club and the desire to see it thrive, I know he will have tried. There is only so much a director can do before the relationship with a coach starts to break down - yes the coach should take input but he is paid to coach and pick the team. Seeing how hard Peter and the other directors work to bring money into the club I can see how frustrating it is for them to see the coach ‘throw away’ £20k by picking a weakened team.

Yes that is where I come from borrow people to review what we do. What I will be looking at today is for shape in how we are actually lined up to attack . If we get a play 20 yds out let's look if there is a game plan for someone to run onto the ball and make the opposition actually have to think about what we are doing .

Ithink the reality is they will only realise if they need help when it's too late. A bit like when should you plant trees ..about 20 years ago .if they scramble in the top 4 life goes on but come 5th and it's a very hard road ahead. Thant said maintain reserves and the Cas deal and we will survive . I just don't see a club strategy for anything currently . But then the old board never had one for anything so what's new. For me I think we need a new booster injection to move forward but it depends very much on mindsets and if they have ambition to achieve that is key .
