What would you guys say if... Green is unveiled within a few days as the successful bidder as the front man for a group of investors. Business as usual at Odsal with no loss of players etc only now with cash to spare and sign new players for the middle eights.
Unfortunately HMRC wouldn't get the Vat back but with Green being the club's biggest creditor the charge would be removed meaning only a 6 point deduction for RFL as most of the debts would effectively have been paid off.
Pretty good that and it would preserve the championship's biggest draw. Which would be great news for all of us.

Stop being pessimistic. I'd bet your mortgage on it - given that Halifax is an ex pit village in greater Manchester it's probably on about 50 quid a month but you get the idea. |

One key point that seems to be missing here is what about all those small busineses that have supported your club? (possibly 3 times in your pattern of one year in and one year out administration) They may not be as lucky surviving the debt they will have to write off by such action. |

Yes, I'd say, Bulls screw over their fans and suppliers again but are back in the game so who cares. Their iconic status must be preserved at all costs reagrdless of any standards their board may have. |

My take on this would be that the RFL should introduce a "fit and proper person's" test for any "new" investor in any club (including my own HRLFC) and then see how Mr Green stacks up. Any success on his part would be laughable, except for the fact that the taxpayer in the form of HMRC and any small business creditor would be screwed to assuage one man's vanity/greed |
