I asked the same question last night with a suggestion that if he is so unhappy with the board and the signings they have made he tells us who he would sign, whether they are available and whether they would accept the wages on offer.

I will agree I am at present very negative. I don't watch Halifax Football club or use their message boards, although I do watch soccer on TV I don't often watch live games unless it's on free TV - with kids and almost minimum wage I can't afford an early bird season, or much else apart from my rent, and I therefore pay each week, when I go. So I need to have a reason to spend all my spare money on a Fax game. I will always support Fax, but I need to Really want to walk to the game and back and pay my entry fee.

My big concern, and if you read my posts it is a theme I do (I admit) keep on about, is simply the silence of our BOD on matters related to Finance, unless they want something from us there is never much said at all. There may be no "financial crisis" we may simply be planning in case there is one...fans don't really know.

I agree they should budget to fit known income, and player recruitment will depend on availability of players and funds. However, as we saw last season, when the team starts to perform badly attendance falls and I simply don't see the present squad performing well and they don't make me want to go to the games.

With all due respect John his concerns are echoed by many fans i know,lady i work with for example season ticket holder since TH days is not renewing,doesn't make then Town fans.

I take your point T however I still say with some of the friends our club has we don't need enemies.
The problem is that reading some of the comments you would think we had no hope, a poor board, poor players, and second rate sponsors,
The lovely mrshj has hidden all the sharp kitchen instruments and paracetamol.

Reading these comments just makes me think the BOD are in the world of 'damned if you do and damned if you don't'
The reality check for us is that we haven't a 'money man' and are having to cut our cloth according as a result of missing out on the top 4 last season.
We have no revenue from the stadium via bar takings and no 'clubhouse' of our own.
The Supporters Trust do a fantastic job in supplying £20k plus annually through hard graft and love of the club.
The Director's have no doubt put £000's of their money in with no realistic chance of getting it back.
We as supporters/sponsors on varying incomes no doubt make our own sacrifices to support the club.
That's the reality of where we are at and it looks like we will be building slowly to get further up the league structure and attract better players and more supporters.
Success breeds success but you have to graft as a whole club set up and be patient in sport.
Our time will come again.

As for the on field activities the Championship will not be easy and every one will need to be at their best all of the time. Get behind them support that's your job within HRLFC.

Maybe the decision was not taken by the Board of Directors, but by one of the so called 'Executive Committee' behaving like a loose cannon and keeping the BOD in the dark over whole affair, if the rumours are to be believed!!

I agree that every poster has aright to their opinion, which I respect, just need to be realistic.
Hope we do have a settled side next season as that was a key factor in our success two seasons ago.
