Because if a quarter of our fans are also FCHT fans then our attendance will be down by 400 people. Thats around £5000 of lost income.

Thats probably just a little unrealistic.

Correct, it's business related, we'd be stupid to push ahead with it if there is any chance it will significantly impact our gate.

| I really can't see hundreds skipping the Fax game to go down to Wembley. No offense but it's not the FA Cup Final!

| I used to follow both clubs, but haven't been to a Town game for many a year. The last time I attended a game was at Leicester for the playoff game against Hereford, although I usually check their results each week. I've seen the odd game on TV, and although I know being a fan is all about passion for your team, the quality on offer does mean it gets a bit frustrating to watch sometimes. No doubt some would say that about Championship RL, but most of us are a tad biased here!
Back on topic, I doubt I'll be going to Wembley if they get there, but I suspect that there'll be a good following from the town that will likely outshine Fax's contribution at recent finals?
Playing on the Sunday will possibly be the correct thing for Fax to do financially in terms of crowd numbers (bearing in mind that it's only folk paying at the turnstile that will make a difference, and we have over 1000 season ticket holders). The crowd would naturally be lower on the Friday evening, but there will be some non-ST Fax fans who may make the trip to Wembley instead (given the last time a Halifax team were there, this could be the last chance for folk of a certain age!). How we're going in the league could play a part as well.
Possibly all acedemic anyway, as they do have one more tie to win, but if they do get to Wembley please can we not announce the score at the Fax game (I would want to watch it, even if only on recorded TV). I asked the club to do this once before (I can't remember the event), and was told that "some folk want to know". Well, pretty much everyone has a smartphone now (and if not, will be near someone who does), so easy to get hold of the score/result if they want.
Other than that, best of luck to FCHT. They represent the town, and as such they (the team) have my full support.
