One again its the same old story. We created the chances to win, but did not take them. Tangata makes a break and the pass goes to ground for example. We then give stupid penalties and make mistake poor errors in defence and allow teams back in the game. We are not too far away, but sadly we are making life harder for ourselves if we hope to make the top 4. The League is very close between 8 teams. You look at the results today for example Fev win by 1, London by 5 and Leigh by 8. You dont take the chances you will suffer a loss like we are doing. We can still make the top 4, but it is going to be very hard. We are only 2 wins beind first place. But we really need to sort our attack, defence and our discipline out soon or else the top 4 is gone. No need to panic just yet.

Sounds like the same old story. Could do with a win next week just to lift spirits and belief in all honesty. Whatever the result though, it looks like we will have to go on another long winning run in order to make the top 4. No sweat yet though, we know we can do it and yes, we do have a better team who despite playing no where near full potential, could easily be sat with 5 wins from 5 if the odd moment switched during one of those defeats.

Not necessarily. So far, things in this league look pretty tight. You have just lost against two teams who are playing well, and most teams seem capable of taking points off one another. We managed another close call today, surrendering a 16 point lead (only 16 this week

when Sheffield levelled at 28-28. Fortunately, we just had enough left in the tank for a final onslaught to snatch the points.

You would have to fancy your chances against us next week - today we were without McNally, Kay, Worthington, Tonga, Armstrong, Chase and Brierley, in the backs, then Lee Smith had to withdraw when he got injured in the pre-match warm up. Thankfully, Martyn Ridyard held up his hand to play, despite his rib injury, and his class helped enormously.

Looks like you may be facing a team full of forwards next week!

Same as in previous week and as has been said, simply not taking our chances. God knows what was going through Tangata's mind when he once again broke through but instead of us scoring a simple try off a 2 on 1 he misses out Johnston and throws a pass to nobody. We didn't lose because of that but it did sum up our season so far. It will stick eventually but again we saw flashes of what we are capable but it seems to me the changes to the team are still taking a while to come off. Every man and his dog knows that Johnston should be at half back and is wasted at FB but RM seems to want to make the Moore and Murrell partnership work, its a really simple change to move Murrell to 13 where we know he is superb and have Jonno and Moore in the halves, this also means Scott can defend in the middle rather than out wide where he has been done for pace a number of times this year.

Fully agree GFB and as I have said before we don't seem to have the size or threat on the bench at the moment.

These results are unacceptable.

We finnished 6th for god sake in middle 8s leaving 750k to play with

Batley and london were not but yet can field a team to beat us also above us in the league.

What as the money been spent on is the question. Was meant to be new fittness equipment and nutrition but we dont look the fittest of teams.

Big mistake not going fulltime this year and is going to cost us at the end of the season when attendances fall as the product on the field is poor

A very good assessment as always GFB and the same as I saw it today. London played on Muzza's lack of pace out wide and Johno is totally wasted at fullback and no threat to the opposition in that role. RM still tinkering with his run on side and once he gets that right then hopefully things will improve. Our discipline was poor today and we gave London far too much easy possession and territory. Good sides punish you for that and London did just that. Still early days but we need to start winning soon or we will start to lose ground on the top 4.

While I am looking forward to our visit to the Shed Stadium next week, it really could go either way.
We are massively wrecked by injuries *especially in the backs* more injuries today & 10/11 players out.

As I have said on our board, 8th now, but I expect that to improve as the season goes on.

Please, turn up in numbers next week, it could be a real humdinger of a game & the atmosphere when our
sides meet is usually electric.
