I see Leigh have signed Gareth "Barnstorming, Eye Gouging, Head Kneeing" Hock. Class player on his day but you obviously get the ill disciplined side (currently banned for 6 games 2 games after a 7 game ban) that I can't see Rowley coaching out of him. Worringly he could be a belting addition to an already big pack, I just hope Leigh have got him on a pay per play.

A team with Sam Barlow and Gareth Hock in is a frightening prospect if you take rugby ability alone. However its blatantly obvious what team's tactics will be, just wind them up until the shortest of fuses blows.

I'd have been extremely disappointed if we'd have signed Hock. A drugs cheat who has spent over a quarter of his career suspended, been sent home early from International duty for bad behaviour twice currently serving a ban for kneeing two defenceless players on the floor and under investigation for internet 'bullying'. Fine example for kids coming to watch the game and not the sort of player I want representing our club.

Absolutely hit the nail on the head.

If you dig into most players history you will find something. Hock I would agree has more than others in his past. Don't recall this when you had penkywicz playing for you. Yes he is at leigh now but was with you guys before. A player with a 2 year drugs ban in his past. Bottom line with hock is simple. If he plays rugby he is an outstanding player. If he doesn't he is a liability. We have a few in our team, had my say before on one of them, fortunately since then in the main they have behaved and are now playing some excellent stuff and behaving.

Most people deserve a 2nd chance and Penky got that. It becomes a bit of an issue and suggests there is a bigger problem when somebody has to have about 10 2nd chances.
