I'll tell you what i'll do to compromise my support of Halifax RLFC, if one of you kind souls could gladly ask the question at the next fans forum or in person to one of the club directors on my behalf, maybe even one or more of the board might read this post on the messageboard.

I'm prepared to watch Halifax games so long as the Halifax matchday 1-18 is named around about friday lunchtime, maybe with a deadline of 3pm so that i can make alternative plans for the coming weekend if any Hull KR players are named. If someone could possibly pass the info onto me i can then study the players names & i don't mean Halicat posting it on twitter at thursday night's training/boot cleaning session either...
I'm quite prepared to continue picking & choosing my rugby outings but now that the club has complicated matters i'd like a little bit of help from them in keeping the club afloat with my pay at the gate fee's, 'cos apparently it's damaging to the club's future if i'm a stayaway, maybe some of the b.o.d should take a look at themselves & their actions and stop blaming other people for their errors in that case.

F.A.O. HuddShay, we had a cracking walk along the canal to the Old Brandy wine yesterday too, had a pint of something from Dent brewery 4.5% and it was OK. Cracking post MM. I have just shown Mrs Hudd-Shay your post and we agree that your compromise would be a reasonable way forward wheras we would still be able to support the team. It would need the team/squad being announced before the game obviously. Also the problem with joint youth development would still remain, how the hell that would benefit us is beyond me but I think that you have come up with a fair compromise. P.S. If I called in at 'Shepherds and the re was no blonde on I would have a go at 'brunette!

i am and always have been against the DR system, only there for the good of SL teams. if they want players to get game time either set up reserve league or release them so can play for other teams. stop hedging their bets.

Well for me I feel the game has nobody who has a clue or a leader at the RFL. The RFL have a System which I feel wont last more than a couple of years. I dont see where exactly either the Pro or the Amateur game is heading and we are just being fed spin by the RFL and Clubs- not just our own. The game is in a mess as I see it and nobody as yet has a clear plan on trying to sort it. The RFL are playing Russian Roulette and the Clubs are just happy to Play instead of Standing up and asking where are we going with this and what do we hope to achieve?

I can understand the DR with HKR even if I dont like it. What concerns me is the Partnership. Work together and learn not a Problem. But what is the actual state of our Club and do we Need to be concerned that 12-18 months ago we scoffed at Batley, Leigh, Dewsbury etc for doing DRs and Partnerships and even stated we would not go down that road. Why have we suddenly done a U Turn? Where is the Club actually going? Why do we Need a partnership with any Club on scouting and academy Rugby? What is the Clubs plans if we done make the top 6 for example? With the game being run by headless chickens at the RFL, will this see our Clubs happily continue to follow them or will somebody stand up and say enough is enough? The way things are going we will see another System come in place in a couple of years that will further push us behind where we would like to be.

I have yet to see anything from the RFL to give me any confidence in them or where the game is heading. And with the partnership I feel the Club is in such a state that we are throwin the last roll of the dice in tryin to stay with the bigger Championship Teams. I am yet to be convinced that the Club will actually benefit that much from this. And I am still to be convinced that our Club has much of a future, despite the hard work of the BoD and others. The spin by the RFL about this new System has given People a false sense of hope for me. I see it that the game like the Clubs are just hoping things will work out with no clear plan of what they actually hope to achieve and how.

No. The loan system, as you say, has been in place for many years and has been of benefit to All clubs. DR is totally different.
