I think the decision had to be made at this point. We will beat Barrow on Sunday so you cant really get rid of someone after a win so that would mean him taking the team in to the playoffs and given that it seems not many of the players are interested in playing for him it would be an embarrassing exit of that i have little doubt. There was no way the club could renew his contract so the time is right now to hopefully just give the players a little kick up the backside and hopefully a push in to the playoffs. It also gives the incoming coach as much time as possible to work with the squad although it has to be seen whether the club waits till after the play off exit to bring him in.
I just have a feeling we will perform better under Murrell for the rest of the season than we would have under Harrison.
