Ok, so there seems to be a poor quality video going around social media at the minute showing the incident.

My view based on that. Mannings tackle is late, but not "horrific" or "barbaric" as has been suggested on social media. Mr Barlow will have dished plenty of those out in his career. Had that been the end of the incident Manning may have been sin binned or at worst red carded and as with Sam earlier in the season, no further action taken as a result. Instead Manning will probably face a ban for what happens after, but again without access to the facts (or the audio), I cannot pass comment on what made him go in again.

All on LCTV, after a few late shots on Barlow I kept my eye on him after he passed the ball a few times. A few tough and hard (but fair) tackles were made on him. The one that Manning did was none of these, I thought at the time it was bad and after seeing it again I still have the same opinion. It has happened before to and by other players from all teams but in all honesty and it's only my opinion, this one was a planned and deliberate attempt to "seriously" damage a player. It's there for all to see, the RLF will not have to deliberate long over this one.
Nothing against the Fax players generally, even Tonks is there for a reason and is usually played to good effect, he knows what his role is and is brilliant at it. Manning on the other hand is just a snidey cheapshot merchant and the coach.................well your own fans know what he is.

The incident will be dealt with by the disciplinary, as is all types . He may, or may not, be found guilty and the appropriate punishment given.

Your guesswork as to what Manning was thinking is neither useful or needed.

You must be on Cloud cuckoo land if you actually saw what happened (bet you didn't) and still say he didn't mean it ? It's in plain sight "as is what he did next" and he WILL be found guilty.

It never ceases to amaze me how 2 people can view the same incident and see it totally differently influenced by our own personal bias.

Personally what I saw was:

Yes, the tackle was late

It didn't look high to me but I couldn't swear to it without seeing close-ups, slomo, various angles.

It was definitely not from behind as some Leigh fans have stated. It wasn't even from the side. It was full-on frontal.

We all see what we want to see so let's wait and see what the, supposedly impartial, disciplinary board decide, shall we?

....and I'll tell you what, it must be so enriching to support a team of choirboys like Leigh Centurions. I wonder if they have considered approaching the Vatican for sponsorship?

After just seeing this on a social site I myself cannot see why Leigh fans are saying it was from behind it was a full front tackle.

I've never said it was from behind! It was full frontal, manning jumped of the ground with both feet and used both elbows to connect. It was more than late, the ball had gone and Barlow had no chance. The last I'll say on the matter.
The RFL WILL charge Manning and the true fans of RL either Fax, Leigh or whoever will not and cannot condone what happened. The playground attitude off "Well he started it last month" etc does not wash.

But the fact that you know what Manning was thinking when he did whatever he did means that you are either a very good mind reader or just putting your own slant in it. (cuckoo analogy)

Which is why I say the disciplinary can deal with it.
