Good post (for once ) hahaa. Banter and jokes aside im sure all Fax fans wish Barlow a speedy recovery, its never nice to see a player injured no matter what team they play for. Im now off to bed hungry but good luck for the rest of the season.
Ive watched a couple of the major talking points on the video today, the first one the `attack` on Ridyards head which when watched over and over isnt even a high tackle and it looks like the injury is the result of Tonks coming in as second man after Fieldhouse has started to bend him backwards. All in all just an unfortunate coming together which shouldnt have even been a penalty.
The main incident is caused by the tackle before which resulted in a penalty for Leigh for Tonks pushing Barlow over. Why did Tonks push Barlow over? As has been said its because in the tackle he sees Barlow pushing his head in to Mannings face while manning is underneath him. The touchie has a great view and should have picked it up and penalty for Halifax he misses and we have the brawl.
Ive watched it over and over and simply cant see how manning can be on the charge he is on. For the late tackle I think he should get 1 game at the most simply because it was so late, I think they should throw the book at him over the fight though, he can not go back in once its separated like he did and I would say 3 or 4 games for that would be fair. Im surprised a few more players are not up on charges though because there was a few from both sides who had a real dig in those fights.
I had to have a little chuckle to myself as I bumped into a pal of Sams at the match on Sunday and it seems that Sam says after the match between Leigh and Leeds Jamie Peacock (no less ) said Sam would make a Super League player and he could see Sam replacing Jamie at Leeds when he retires next year .
Not sure if Jamie said this to Sam personally though or wether it was said through his agent but I walked away with the tune of the " Magic Roundabout " going through my head . Oh yes it`s starting already .
Looks like we all might have been a bit harsh on Potts as well when he breaks through the leigh winger does a great job of cutting off the pass so Potts either has to give it early which im sure at the time there was no need or go himself like he did. Maybe fully fit he goes through the fullback.
Would have been nice to see Worrincy in that situation though.
