I am sorry if some of the backroom staff feel upset by some postings. The efforts of all the backroom staff are appreciated by all supporters, but they must recognise that the club is a professional setup and as such team performances and results is the only real barometer to how the club is progressing or not progressing. Like Chris Smith I really worry for the future. Next season is so very important; if the news about promotion and relegation, and cash boost to the top two championship clubs is correct we have to finish 1 or 2 next season. Some supporters seem to feel add couple of new signings and everything in the garden will be rosy. I dont share that enthusiasm a new hooker and a n other will suddenly transform the team and we will more than a match for any team in this league. It will take a lot more than that to sort out the current problems. It is undoubtedly a testing time for the club and it remains to be seen whether the club is capable of meeting the major challenges ahead.

A - I have been a volunteer for years

B- We work bloody hard for the club we love - match days are harder to run than some folk clearly think.

Triran, we had a disagreement in the past, that is in the past.
I appologise for not mentioning you in my previous post. I know how hard you all work particularly on match days as I have been to a few match day packages in the East Stand.
Incidentally the match day package is recognised a one of the best, if not the best out of Super League, and better than a few in SL.
If the RFL had let out guys run it at the NRF then things would have been a lot better.
Well done.

Agreed HJ - we have hosted SL BODs and RFL officials in the past - they have all commented on how good the experience is.

Over the past few seasons I think it would be fair to say the club could have been run more professionally than it has been at times but over the last couple of seasons I do think things are headed in the right direction.

There is always room for improvement though.

Maybe they are and that's the problem.... Mal you're not reading them your book at HT are you?

For the record all volunteers of any club, especially our hometown one, deserve all the plaudits they get for unselfishly giving of their time and devotion without reward other than to see theirs, and our team doing its best.
True supporters follow their club through good AND bad times and these people at Fax have done that over many years. All the behind the scenes stuff just doesn't magically happen! (I should know as an ex Chairman of a local side) . These people are like gold dust and to all who have unbelievably criticised them-hang your head in shame or better still hold YOUR hand up and support the club with your free time and devotion!

That's the problem Chris, That's where the coach has been going wrong. At the next match I'll pop in the dressing room and read a couple of chapters from my second book, that should get them going, Thanks Chris the club owes you one, lol
