It will be alright, its only because the pitch has been ripped up and work is going on pitch.

I've heard a mate saying that Ossy the groundsman has posted something on the footy messageboard, unless it's someone claiming to be him ( a la' Slammin Sam on Twitter ) saying something about only £10K or so work being carried out.

From what I've read and heard. While the pitch is been dug up and re-seeded (as it is most years) the work on the drainage isn't going ahead now as the council won't pay for it. Instead more sand is going to be put down.

Pointless exercise re growing it every year. Looks great when we go back for our games but as soon as the weather gets wet it carves up again and never recovers. And as its never a "mature" lawn it never binds properly. Some clubs have had the same surface down for years and it doesn't cut up half as much
