It's a well known fact that most of the Town supporters blame Fax for the state of the pitch, but as one eminent fax official said yesterday, when we finish our season in October the pitch is pristine, by the time we get to a pre season friendly it's in a terrible state.

I think it's a great draw for both clubs. Don't really understand the fascination with playing a big club and losing, yes it raises a bit of cash but I'd much rather have a winnable tie and a chance of progression, which this certainly is for both Sheffield and Halifax.

We've had HFC, HKR, St Helens, Wigan, Catalans all in the last few years, lost the lot, novelty wears off after a while!

The Cup 1/4 final is scheduled for 14th July. The Shay pitch work will be complete by then.
