Honestly I didnt think Stokes was that bad last night, maybe just one or two things like late in the game when our player goes to make the tackle and the ball looked as if it just hit him but we get brought back for the knock on and Batley get the final score. Now have they changed the rules on this one because from where I were standing it looked like our player made no play for the ball and was just making the tackle so it should really have been play on unless this rule has also been changed.
Would be interesting to get someones view on that from the tv recording as that were just my initial impression at the ground.
I also didnt see the headbutt but did see their no. 19 take a cheap shot at Barlow for which I thought he should have got binned. Again though if someone has use their head it should be a sending off and with a guy on the mic in the stand should have been easy to pick up. Other than that I thought he were steady away.
Oh and did the last kick go over? A lot of our players were complaining to Stokes and the TJ`s that it didnt go over and one of the touchies looked decidedly undecided and a few Batley fans after thought it had missed and their reactions as it was going towards the posts didnt suggest it was on its way over.
