My criticism is constructive though...sometimes it has to be said and its not against individuals its against the club as a whole..and what with our main sponsor being marketing professionals!! I don't know if they've tried it though, but how about contacting the local uni's and asking for volunteers as that way you get expertise and they get something to put on their cv. I did this as a student (not in marketing) and was seen as added value on my CV. Yep and I raised £350 in sponsorship and put in £200 at auction so i am doing my little bit and will do anymore like flyering, etc or whatever.

Unfortunately we're out gigging on friday night typically cos it's not on it's usual night this week if it had been weds ( I know the footy had a match BTW ) or thurs I would have been there with bells on.
I know it's a biased point of view with one of my own lads getting a few run outs this year but it really pleases me to see so many young local lads getting an opportunity with the club they desperately wish to play for and so many of them I introduced to Halifax RLFC in my time with the service area & scholarship schemes, the future really is looking bright for both the club and many, many local lads thanks to the determination of several people within the club for sticking to their morals & foresight and re-forming the youth/reserve set up. Just you watch the greedy SL clubs go and put their fillings in again and mess things up.
Good luck to the lads on friday night & then hopefuly in the final and if we get to the final take the senior team's mentality onto the pitch "it's a final, FEV CAN BE BEATEN"
