The grand final is a great day out, just like Blackpool and any other cup final. But so were the premierships pre super league.

I get much more satisfaction from seeing my team come top of the pile. In my eyes its means your the best, and if we slip up and fax win the league I would admit fax were the best this season even if we won the GF.

being crowned the champs for winning the GF in both SL and championship is just wrong. was nothing wrong with the old premierships was still a great day out and nice to win

While disolutioned with the administration of the sport , Disapointed with my own clubs management , and bored with the matchday experience , I wouldnt/couldnt start following another club

Ultimatley it is me that has changed, not the sport, club or team, they are all still attempting to do what they consider is best for whatever part of the sport/game they control

An excellent post, but, i'm not sure it is US that have changed.
It's US that can't seem to change with the times.
Rewind, Winter Rugby, played at Thrum Hall, 1987 cup winners, 1988 cup loosers, 1989, relegated, 1990 average crowd in the second division 7000.
Then comes summer Rugby,
"Don't like summer Rugby, crowds down,
Move to the Shay,
"Don't like the Shay, crowds down.
Then comes relegation,
"Rather watch the Bulls"
The problem is that Joe Public has fallen out with Rugby League.

Thankfully my name isn't Joe Public, and I love Rugby League, always have always will.

Hope so, but I will only believe it when it's in the Sun.
