BORING!!..........seem to remember a Challenge Cup tie last year bringing 5.5k to The Shay for what was at the time a Pointless game as Fax were mid slump and playing very Poorly! Equally on the TV etc, etc. However being a football town Id expect Town to easily beat that a week on Sunday Gav eh?

I wish Town no malice at all it's my hometown club and I sincerely wish them well, why wouldn't I? Some people should hang their heads in shame at the despicable lies and slander that's been posted over time especially those people claiming to be fans of both clubs eh Gav??

Stuff like this shows up Rugby League for how poorly it's run off the pitch.
While I'm not suggesting the RFL are going to get the Cup competing with the FA Cup, in just Round One a part-time Division 6 team will be getting £100k from it, all the prize details are available to see from the TV revenue to the winning fee for that round, all the crowd have to pay to get in and aren't just free for one team and the game isn't as much of a foregone conclusion as some think due to Football not trying it's best to make it a couple of leagues will all the talent and skill and pulling it further and further away from the lower teams (well there's debate in that regarding the Premiership, but Football does have a lot of development going on and good players filtering down divisions more so than in RL because it's competitive and the money's a bit more spread around in the Championship, L1, L2 & BSP). Fax Town could certainly earn a replay from this.

Meanwhile the RFL have their thumbs up their s, everyone argues with each other off the pitch and there's a complete lack of excitement from a host of fans and on-lookers about the game resultings in poor crowds.

Football's still got nothing on Rugby as a sport though I guess.

Oh didums, must be hard living in the shadows of the towns most popular sportsteam. Not sure what the bitterness is about, you should count yourself lucky that you get the back page news while nothing is happening with the mighty HXRLFC. I miss reading about you alongside Brighouse Town tbh.
