We have a top class squad, a top coach, we are under the cap and have a major sponsor in place. Not sure what the problem is?

No it doesn't quote KH saying that. That is the editor writing that. Quotes have the "". The journalist has confused cap with budget.

It is well known that this years squad has cost half last years. As has every squad in the league. Keighley have signed Korkidas ffs.

Yep. The players are part time and Rugby League players in general are pretty badly paid for the pain they put their bodies through. The average figure you quoted dosnt surprise me one little bit.
