Isnt the idea of having a millionaire backer one of the things the RFL said we needed to be a better prospect for Super League? Arthur Thomas has put loads into Leigh helping them employ some first class talent but once he has had to leave, the whole pack of cards falls down. . it's the same at Crusaders Harlequins, Barrow etc etc without even thinking about Halifax Rugby Union Club and what the death of David Brook did to them

Yes it stinks doesn't it Adam , the RFL seem to want their cake and eat it when it comes to us Championship clubs , yet the current SL tenants seem immune to the same rules
We at Leigh have a fantastic facility , but one that is strangling us , we are a town in probably the worst location possible , with no big industry , no large employers owned by local people , what industry we do have is struggling to survive
What is our future ? , do we have a future ? , who knows , we' ll try , are our problems down to the RFL ? , no , do their policys help us ? , probably not , do they want or need us ? , yes , they do , the Championships are rapidly becoming what we all said they were a couple of months ago , The Forgotten Leagues , take away another supposedly biggish club and it really is close to disappearing , so hopefully we can survive , and somehow with the co operation and collective help of the other main players outside SL we can all have a future
