Someone was telling me that Gonzales is respected within the game for the work he does around stats and that, I'd imagine he'll be around in some capacity next season,

What is his official Job Role anyway?

As for Ball i'd like to see him stay as well, if not as assistant but in another role, has plenty to offer

I can vouch for Martin's credentials having worked very closely with him until around a year ago on the youth development at Halifax RLFC. He is ragrded very highly within the pro game with people who I talk to & you wouldn't believe the number of lads who have returned to the club this season to play for him in our U23's squad after looking for pastures new & things not working out for them.
For the club to move forward, this man is an absolute must keep.

I thought Ball let himself down with his comments yesterday. The guff that he came out with about contracts made me cringe. Its not unusual for clubs to negotiate with players before the end of the season so why is this one different? Also the players who have been given contracts deserve them by the looks of it. The players that havnt, well, theres probably a reason for that and yesterday was the last chance for many of them to impress - They failed miserably and we should thank them for their service and wish them all the best at their new clubs.

.... but that was never gonna happen. You can't base a new contract on one performance. IMO everyone knew what was what and nothing was gonna change it. Hence the dire performance. Just like the Widnes players shutting shop.

I've known Martin for probably 15/16 years right from his involvement in the amateur juniors right through to him joining the club. Hes a class act and as MM says has the respect of more or less everyone who works with him.

A must keep indeed.
