We still have this season to finish first though before we start speculating on playing staff

Maybe Deadwood is the wrong word but I think the likes of Paul Smith, David Larder, Adam Rudd, Mike Ratu, Frank Watene, Ryan Clayton will not be playing for Fax next season. I would nt be too surprised to see 12 or more players go from this years squad as we have looked weak in certain areas and others will retire and Karl will want to make changes

Bit harsh on Clayton and Smithy who have both performed pretty well the last few weeks. I'd be tempted to give them another go. In fact for thinking our back row always seems a weak link, with banno, smith, clayton and fairbank there we are starting to look very very solid

Pete interviewed Dave at the dinner Fri night and he said he had played his last game for the club.

Ryan Clayton has got job with Sale sharks so can't see him still playing rl

He has been doing it this year and playing so why not again next year?

Smith possibly but not Clayton, still cant work out how he managed to play at SL level for so long.

Clayton I feel has not really done much at Halifax and whilst I wouldnt say he garbage I have heard from people that he wont be staying. Paul Smith is 33 or 34 and I think he may well retire or be a player coach elsewhere. Smith has done well but I think Karl will make some big changes in the pack especially

Clayton just finished uni degree so perhaps work at Sale last year was part of course.If he working full time for them would be surprised if they let him continue playing rl and whether he would have the time.

Half the players have full time jobs and they cope!
