As you may be aware, James Haley’s Testimonial year will officially begin at the re-arranged launch night, which is taking place on Thursday August 25th in the Banqueting Room at The Shay. Doors open at 7pm and proceedings will begin at 7.45pm prompt.

Details of the planned events will be announced – including full details of the Testimonial Match against Burleigh Bears (Ben Black’s former Club) in October, and there will be the first chance to see (and buy) exclusive merchandise, see the website and even hear about how you could play alongside - or against – James in a Tag team!

Special guest Pete Emmett will be chatting to James about his career and time at the Club, and helping with the Supporters’ Awards, which will be presented during the evening.

These include the Players’ Player and Player of the Year awards to the under 23s and first team, plus the annual Shooting Star, and Top Tackler awards.

Admission is free, everyone is welcome, and Event Management and Catering are showing their support for the cause by offering draught beer and lager at £2.70 per pint!

I hope James makes oodles of money for his testimonial as he deserves it , I am sure years ago there were times he could have moved on for a better deal and chose to stay at Fax as it was his home town club.

May I just confirm the timings for tomorrow, in case a few people were worried about a late night on a school night, or are setting off to Wembley early the morning after...

Should be all over by 9.30, although we hope you can hang around to chat and have a drink with James and the Testimonial Committee afterwards.
