I thought the ref had a shocker, but i would like someone to explain why nash was penalised in the 2nd half on the half way line for making a decent effort at a tackle that wasnt complete then got penalised for making a second effort..Leahy is a joke.

whats the restart tap rule these days ? ive seen hx stopped from a quick
tap on numerous occasions.thought the rule was ref had to be back the 10
and blow whistle.leahy allowed batley a quick tap when he was BEHIND the
batley 20 line.they cocked it up but that isnt the point.

As far as I'm aware the rule was again changed so just 2 things have to happen... Ball tapped from centre of line & all ATTACKING players must be behind the 20!

Widnes had a quick tap chance pulled back as Leigh weren't all back (old rule done away with!) Yet Leigh had one were all our lads weren't set (correct ruling but inconsistent).

I was thinking that at the time.

I support the idea of letting attacking sides tap as soon as they are ready, regardless of the ref and opposition etc, as it promotes attacking play.

However, like you say, a bit of consistency would be nice.

On leaving the game I was informed by one Batley fan that they would have won by even more if the ref had been any good.
Just shows the ref can't win in any situation.

Watched Boots n All.Leahy missed 2nd half in a recent match for a bad nose bleed, probably got punched after a crap first half if Sunday is anything to go by.
