Now I dont get to see the games live, only tune into the radio and watch the vid later etc but just go on our forum,we were clueless, unfit, unable to foolow a game plan, did weeven have a game plan, big timers going through the motions etc this was only 3 weeks back............now Mr Wright has had enough time to stamp his authoirty sp we are transformed, is that just a coincidence .........I think not.

our goal line defence is absolutely appalling,90% of the time we dont even lay a hand on them.....pathetic!!!!

Our team isnt as strong as last few seasons and main problem is we dont have the quality who can change the game on their own. So you need tactics, you need a game plan, you need an organised defence. Its time for the coach to really show whats he's made of.

And which one of you would defend with Holroyd and Jones on the same side? And once you saw the oppostion score through that channel a few times (easily) why not do something about it!!

That was some of the worst defence I have ever seen by a Halifax team. Both players and coaches MUST cop the flak for that. I'll say it again; IF YOU DON'T WAN TO PLAY FOR OR COACH AT HALIFAX RLFC THEN DO THE DECENT THING AND QUIT. DON'T WAIT FOR A PAYOUT, HAND IN YOUR NOTICE AND GO.

Jones was tackling 2 &3 after another it was Holroyd , his kicking game was good it always has to be because he will neither take or make a tackle. The last couple of games last year he did appear to sort it but this year he`s come back the same can we afford a player who won`t take his fair share . I did not watch the whole game myself today I watched Holroyd most of the time dodging every tackle hideing behind other players .I am not puting all the blame on him but why isn`t something done about him either tell him to take a share or ship out.

I do have sympathy for MC because I do believe the major problem is a lack of commitment from the players when it comes to defence. Barrow defended brilliantly at times this afternoon when the pressure was on - whereas our players just expect someone else to bend his back when defending our line.

What I find unbelievable is why our players always get outenthused. If we had started the season like we did two years ago, and then given Bradford a good game, it would have made our Super League application in July much more compelling. As it is, why should we be given a chance in Super LEague when we aren't competitve in the Championship and, as a consequence, our crowds are way too low.

The fact that we are losing games simply due to lack of effort (because that is what it is) shows the mentality of some of the players. They don't care about the opportunity they are throwing away, the fact they are letting down the fans or that they are probably going to cost MC his job (perhaps that is what they want at the expense of everything else). You'd think a bit of self respect may come into it, but alas no.

Unfortunately, after the Widnes debacle, I can't see where MC can take this. He's said the strong words, dropped a few players, but it isn't improving. He clearly has either lost the dressing room or is unable to motivate his team to play to the levels they can and should be achieving.

Whilst the players are primarily to blame, I'm afraid it is the coach who is responsible. For someone who has got us to 2 GF's in 2 seasons, won one of them and taken a pay cut to help the club out at the start of this season, it really is extremely sad that we are now in this position.
