Hmmm, you'd think they knew something!!!!!

Of course there was more supporters at Widnes this morning, they don't have jobs to go to, whilst the under 16s don't bother with school.

And unfortunately many of your lot were deemed to ugly for daytime TV.

Sky Sports News were at Widnes 2 years ago when we missed out, same as today, big crowd etc. So I don't believe they knew before hand, I've asked people I know who work for the RFL who had no idea.

I have asked people who work at the RL and they had no idea - even if they did do you think they would tell the general public - get real !!!!!

I work in Rugby League, I wasn't just a fan asking, these are people I know very well and work with, it was kept in house. Not sure what point anyone is making, Fax fans on our board are saying it was the right decision. All efforts for you need to be for July, look at what we've done at the ground today and replicate it. If Sky Sports would have gone to the Shay today, they'd have been no one there to talk to.

I dont think anyone on here is saying its the wrong decision either, just saying that it seemed a foregone conclusion for many a month now, even Sky showing that in Boots n All and with todays coverage.

And...

With the powers that be saying that Fax meet all the criteria to be a superleague team it would be interesting to hear what they based their decisions on in the end??? If it was youth development, then THEY are the ones that would not allow others to run a youth team last season, thereby guaranteeing that Widnes were the only ones to make the cut????

just a guess, but perhaps after establishing that both teams meet the criteria they picked the one who surpassed the minimin standards to a greater extent?
