Quote: marillion man "I always find it difficult commenting on positional and selection issues, but for quite a while now our squad has been pretty much bust-up with injuries & as UrbanCarrot has highlighted, credit to the medical team for helping to put a team on the park each week. Injuries have often determined who plays and even in which position, but, especially with Bob back in the side and IF Branno is fit enough to go, the coach's will be able to select a side to suit the game plan that they have decided is the one that can turn Fev around, I mean over....
These are the games every player wants to be involved in, think Frank the Tank missing out last year and his resulting form this season, but these are also the decisions a coach wants to be faced with.
Knowing some of the coaching staff & how they work, they will have a plan in place to win this game on a neutral pitch and we don't have the dis-advantage of going to Fev's narrow slope, which Finn has learned to master with his kickking for position.
Let's save our departing player goodbye's until after the game, let's not play the big occasion, let's just play the game how it needs to be won, either over the 80 or golden point or whatever, but the cup is there to be won, let's do it this time boys.'"
Narrow slope ? It's a myth that POR has a narrow pitch, and it is infact slightly wider than the HJS pitch.
It's very short though. About 13m shorter than at HJS.
