Not sure why theres so much doubt about the whole thing. We managed to drag an extra 2 along with us. I also saw a friend who had brought his family (+5) to the game. It's that simple system, bring a friend and the attendance will double.

I wasnt at the game today as i was working but if this attendance is true and it sounds like it was then, we have just backed the RFL into a corner, they were banking on us not achieving the average for the season,

to all the Widnes fans on here, if you recall we used to have more than that attendance when we were at thrum hall, you saw when we needed a good attendance to survive as a club, when we really need it the Halifax public does come out in numbers.

my guess would have been around 3500. couple of hundred in skircoat, half full east stand and the same in the south

it is a very expensive day at the shay now to watch a match. perhaps a 3 year plan to boost attendances by offering more affordable entry would be worthwhile

its not easy to persuade a mate with a floating interest to pay 18 quid to watch a fax vs batley fixture

To be honest i prefer clubs like Fax,Leigh,Fev and Widnes in Superleague who are heartland clubs.For me Celtic,london,Salford and Wakey out.

As I said before, the RFL want two clubs like ours at each other's throats. We're more interested in putting the boot into each other than joining together to sort out the charade that they've turned our sport into.

well what was great today was not just the numbers of extra fans but just how many came wearing blue and white

and the Batley fans too were in their Club colours so I thought it was a great day out
