Im not blaming Halifax club all im saying is that its not the first time this has happened (Leigh, Widnes). A bit of forward planning by all clubs but i guess that too easy.

Nothing to do with Fax or any away club at all. Sheffield should look at things before and have a Plan A and then another plan in case more turned up at Bramhall Lane than they thought. And Sheffield should really expect Fax to bring a large number as probably only Widnes have a bigger away following. And to be honest Sheffield should have changed the way things were done once they saw that more fans had turned up than they had thought. Fax have made a couple mistakes this year as a club, but in this case are 100% not to blame.

Get onto Sheffiled Eagles mate, after-all, they've had their back-sides wiped for the last 20 years as a development area club. There were 1400 people there......

What made me chuckle was the amount of stewards outside manning the 'auto' entry turnstiles, looks like cost cutting in that area hasn't happened yet

Absolute Shambles today at the ticket office, some bloke with a diesel dyke steward came out selling tickets at 1455 still not knowing if the kick off was delayed or not, he apparently worked for Sheff United and not the eagles but no one from the eagles was available to come and speak to waiting visiting fans.

Then this bloke outside couldnt exchange childs season tickets for tickets to get through the turn styles so after waiting 10 minutes had to go into the shop to queue again to get tickets to get into the ground.

Sheffield Eagles should hang their heads in shame, they let the problem fall upon sheff utd who now look bad, how they can cope with a 20000+ crowd after today is beyond me, no senior stewards or management were to be seen near the club shop.

Guys, as a long standing eagles fan I couldn't agree more with your comments, it is farcical and unacceptable. A good portion of the blame should go to the blades as it's their policy not to use people at the turnstiles. The eagles used to have volunteers for that at DVS. The more of you that complain to the club the more likely there is of getting something done. I can assure you that this embarrassment has not gone unnoticed.

Dont worry I'll be ringing tuesday, worse than leigh or widnes when it came to getting in. never known owt like it.

not the Eagles fault, but they are paying for the service from the blades and its sub standard, so they deserve better.

I could just have missed it as i was a concentrating on scanning my ticket and going through the turnstile, but aren't all turnstiles operated by that fancy barcode thing now and there isnt actually a space for someone to be on the turnstile? Apologies if wrong.

Sheffield United have 2 tills to print tickets off, that's the way they run their business and seeing as they've hosted top flight/2nd tier football for god knows how long and managed to get 20,000 odd in each game, I hardly see how their business planning when it comes to ticketing can be questioned. 1,400 people turn up for a rugby game and it all goes t!ts up. Sadly it appears to only be the Eagles fault. They know how our game works, the fact that away fans (and some home) come un-ticketed to games and the process involved in our sport, maybe United just presumed they knew what they were doing, clearly they were wrong thinking that though.

I haven't got an issue with the Eagles club or trying to kick-up a needless fuss, but it does come across as the Eagles fault and something i'm sure they'll all sit down in Sheffield and discuss internally. For now though, I really hope Halifax fans don't go e-mailing SUFC about todays goings on, nor really that they e-mail the Eagles. They know today shouldn't have happend, just let them get on and fix it.

Sheffield United ate in charge of ticketing and match day stewarding. They are ultimately responsible. We are merely tenants.

It was a complete joke yesterday. from what i was told yesterday the dheffield united staff that were handing out tickets were told that there were only gonna be between 3 and 400 people there and that there weren't gonna be any problems. So in my opinion this puts the blame with sheffield eagles.

I dont get how there could have been so many problems when there was only a crowd of 1400
