Lazy gits!!

Yeah, it was good. 15 minute piece on RL in PNG, and the impact that Stanley has on it. He's like a god over there and wherever he went the kids just wanted to touch him.

He paid for electricity to be installed in his village and goes back and does coaching sessions with his ex team whenever he can.

The last 5 mins was in Halifax and they showed a bit of footage of the Town and did an interview with him in a Fax shirt and with Calland.

Calland spoke really highly of him and said he's had a massive impact on the club and the training. I really hope the fall out gets resolved as he looked an influential leader on and off the field when the camera was following him around at the Keighley match.

Worth a watch if it's repeated or even on Sky Anytime?

This for me speaks volumes about Stanley, i have said on other threads and will repeat it again, its a privilege to have Stanley wearing a fax shirt he has been a fantastic ambassador for the game of Rugby League. and i look forward to seeing him pull the fax shirt on tomorrow at Dewsbury and for the rest of the season

He once came to my bar with (literally)a bus load of other RL players on an end of season event at 3am when no other bars in west Yorkshire were open, Big Les Vinikolo text me just after I had closed to the public and there were only bar staff and door staff in attendance, and asked if they could join us for a night cap! He was a stand out personality amongst some really big names in attendance that night. I cannot tell you all what happened but it was funny!

Went to the Giants v Hull KR match with my lad last night, proudly wearing our Fax shirts and on leaving the ground, we were serenaded by the Rovers fans with chants of 'one Stanley Gene, there's only one Stanley Gene' and 'Makali Aizue' (to the tune of Tom Hark).

They are both still worshipped over there and I would have loved it for them to have both made a similar impact here at Fax.

I fear that we have got them too late in their career for it to happen here, but we can all still live in hope of a turn around and for them to come good.
