not many teams have found us beatable this season never mind VERY beatable

Our form this season has been a suprise to even us and we know it won't last forever but insults, complaints and libellous comments about our coach just shows us your jealous and soyund like your just uneducated in the soprt.

The problem for fax is that we don't dominate the tackle either in attack or defence. Even when we had all that possession Fev controlled the spead of the PTB. And in defence when we do dominate or the other team surrender, we still move away too quickly and let them get up.

Fev are the Wigan/Leeds of the Championship in the way thye dominate the PTB so that the game both attack and defence is played at their speed. They push the boundaries, but it seems wrestling, putting extra bodies in, so it takes longer to get up, is in the "in thing" this season.

I don't think it is always our defensive shape that lets us down but more our technique. Yeah its not pretty to watch but thats what's effective for the better teams at the moment.

To be fair Paul, most Fax fans on here have been magnanimous in defeat. But it is a fairly common theme this year. To some, when Fev win (again) there's a reason for it. The ref, that we are very beatable but our opponents just had an off day,the number of games, tierdness, the weather, Daryl having the refs in his back pocket etc etc. It can't be that Fev maybe, just maybe are the genuine article this year.
Still, we could lose our next 6 games and the argument is academic!
However, I enjoyed last night, thought we played well, and tho I don't engage in any predictions of world domination, I, for now at least, am enjoying the best rugby in years at Fev. Will it continue???

Personally if we win the league then i'd be happy. The play-offs don't always dictate the best team in the league, injuries, suspensions, bad refereeing decision at a crucial stage (re the Northern Rail cup semi at Barrow last season) could change the course of the one off game whereas over the course of a season if a team finishes top they probably deserve to finish there.
BTW i've seen Fev win play off ties in the past where such a thing has happened in our favour. Ask any Fev fan and they'll all tell you that this seasons performances have been unexpected and we know that at some point the roller coaster ride that is Fev will plummet to earth with a velocity unknown to man so forgive us for enjoying what we have at the moment.

Attending a GF far out weighs topping the league for me.

I genuinely hope Fev make it to the GF and Fax are their opponents, the GF winners overshadow the title winners plus the players get some extra £brass.

Powell is playing a risky game, if you get Ganson in charge you will get slaughtered. I am not a Fax fan, I saw how Powell behaved at Leigh, if you did you will know what I mean.
Fev are punching above their weight, and doing it well, but if a ref has the danglies to clamp down on the niggles, grapples, pushes used to slow the ptb they will get beat by any of the top clubs.

It's a bit boring but can I suggest you get a stopwatch, take ten tackles from each side and measure the time from when Mr Thomason said held and the ball was played. Being a boring sod with nothing better to do I used Sky+ and did just that. There is nothing to choose between the teams.

The time taken to play the ball is like the distance that the referee takes the defensive line back. It is a fact of life that ten metres becomes eight when you are attacking and twelve when you're defending.

The same applies to most things in the game like niggles, grapples pushes etc. We all see what we want to see and then if we have chance to watch the game when the blood has cooled realise that such things are usually very even.

as I said ealier Maurice, you maybe correct. But as yet, not one of the top 4 has managed it this season!
Funny if it's as simple as that why not one of the professional coaches at clubs you identify has managed to coach that into their players and effect a win??

For goodness sake man - we're top having lost only one very close game all season, which with a little more tenacity and application would have won!
Is it so difficult to just accept that we're currently having a good run with a good coach and a decent squad???
Almost all fax fans and for that most Leigh fans were generous in their clubs defeat and acknowledged that we have a decent team. Heaven knows, we've been on the receiving end more oft than not!

But if it suits you to post that Daryl bullies/cajoles/influences referees to sort the result then crack on owd cock. Who am I to suggest otherwise. If you believe that then that's ok!!

All I have to say is that at least we all might have an important game away at Toulouse for our last game and for me that would be great.
Bring on the Rams a week on sunday and lets get winning these games fax.......its still early days yet for anyone to be talking about titles or grand finals.....anyone can beat anyone in this league..SO LETS JUST TAKE IT A GAME AT A TIME........I'll still be making as much noise as I can whatever!!!

Fev have got the league sewn up - look at their remaining fixtures they are easy.
I don't really fancy playing at their place my hope is that we finish 3rd and get to the GF the harder way but gets us more money in the bank.
Part of me says we are not going to do it as we are just not organised enough to beat teams who are, but on the other hand surely this team is good enough, or are we kidding ourselves as they are but they are not coached well enough???
I think our season will be over with a play off semi final defeat tbh
