Unfortunately we don't have oodles off money like clubs such as Halifax, and have to watch every single penny. We've been in the Championship surviving on a a shoestring against all odds for the last 8 seasons, which is an achievement in itself.
Nicholas is wrong to consider moving the game admittedly (I have put up a protest against this on the Batley forum), but in hindsight he has to consider what is best for the club.
If we were Widnes, Halifax or Barrow, who appear to have a blank cheque when it somes to recruitment every year and attract bigger crowds than we do, I'm sure moving the game wouldn't even be a 'consideration'.
However, I've been re-assured that the game is 99.9% likely to take place at Mount Pleasant, so lets hope we can give the injury-hit Frenchies a bit of a scare.

Batley should be disqualified from the cup if they play in France.

They will be playing a home game on a ground that had been used by a different club in a previous round. Surely that must be against some rule or other.

Come on Swinton, beat the blatant cheats on Wednesday, they know they are doing it, at least at Fax, we were just stupid.

Batley should do what is right for their club. If that means moving the game to France then so be it. If thats the only way that they have any chance of making any money out of the tie then good luck to them. Should be more of an embarrassment for the RFL the fact that they have to move the game because Cats wont bring any fans.

I agree - with so many ex-Fax stars running out for Swinton you've got to fancy them to overturn Batley.

Their injury list is down to their own 'playing style' anyway, I've no sympathy. Have I misunderstood that story are Batley saying they'd make [imore[/i money by dragging their players to the South of France? If they've already publically capitualted then I'd feel cheated paying in to watch!

I might go over to Swinton and support the ex Fax players
