Michael Steele did release a statement it was on Look North last night - basically that Halifax RLFC will be assisting RFL with their enquiries & will also be conducting their own internal enquiry & that there would be no further comment today (i. e. yesterday)

I think you have to assume that Halifax RLFC knew nothing about this potential problem because if they did then presumably Ostick would certainly not have been in the squad again for yesterday & the club would have known about the potential postponement of the game sooner & therefore avoided expenses of family fun day etc. I think most probably that everyone concerned only became aware of problem following the topic being posted on this forum on Saturday morning - hence the very late postponement & lack of information.

I know everybody is angry & dissapointed but you have to give the club & RFL time to conduct their enquiries properly & thoroughly before making any statement & before you all draw your own conclusions about who is to blame

That's a bit OTT I reckon.

What I think would be right is a meeting between the fans and sponsors and the board and coaching staff. Get everything out in the open. We have been kept in the dark over far too many things and yesterday was the last straw. We have a right to know what the hell is happening with our club and it also gives the people that run our club the chance to give their side of the story.

No matter what the decision the RFL make, this shows just how inept and clueless Martin Hall and Matt Calland are. Martin make the signings (probably scouted ostick during rochdale cup match against lenizign(spelling)) and Matt for picking him. It was not as if it was a first round match they may have forgotten about. Ostick himself should have said something or is he just as thick as the two in charge.

Heads MUST roll for this. This is not the time for excuses! Act swiftly and Rfl may look on the club in a better light Calland Hall
