I think he's referring to the time when World Champions Melbourne storm struggled to beat Fax with the likes of Slater, Folau, Cronk and Dallas Johnson in their rank. Personally i think all the English lads in the Fax squad should be playing for England. They're a country mile .............................. yadda yadda yadda

We have the pack to compete with both teams we are massively let down when it comes to the three quarters...

The English Pack is OK-just lacks belief as does the whole team. halfbacks are poor. Mcguire cant create-just a good support player. Myler is OK but is too hot and cold and is not a leader and certainly cant create the magic to win tough tight games like Lockyer and Thurston can. The backs are the problem as they cant defend and are not that good attacking wise and do not have the Skills of Slater, Inglis, Hodges and Haynes.
England also are mentally weak and cant defend that well. If Australia have 4 or 5 sets back to back you would expect Australia to score. If England had 4 or 5 Sets you would not be surprised if England did not score.
England will up the game and no doubt it will be close but Australia to win by 10 for me

Australia will come out all guns blazing on Saturday and we'll need to be on our A game to compete.

Think the English will step up against Australia but they lack the Quality to win the game. Australia are always a bit rusty the first couple of games and why I think there will only be around 10 points in it. I feel England must get amongst them and be aggressive in defence to stand much chance. I believe Ganson is Ref as well which will upset the Aussies as he will Ref differently compared to what they are used to in the NRL.
