Don't be ridiculous. This is a highly competitive league and to finish second was a great achievement. Callard is being judged by his early season success.

To me Calland will show whether he is up to the mark this week in how we turn it around, and the team he picks. His players let him down massively tonight, particularly Penky who was really Barrow's 14th man on the pitch most of the evening. For 60 minutes we were in the game despite the enormous pressure Penky put us under - kicking down their throats, going for a stupid touch down rather than taking the Barrow drop out, running into touch, losing control twice in their 5m, going for the magic step on their line rather than the easy pass.

Whilst our defeat is not solely down to Penky, if he had played for the team rather than the tv highlights then we would have been much closer.

It his second year and last year finished in the same way.

We finished third last year behind two sides who are no longer in this league. We are going backwards not forwards and nothing will change while we accept TWO MONTHS of underperformance

Being good losers isn't good enough

yes the last few weeks have been bad but its still his frist year.

he has taken us to second it could have been better but at the start of the season would you have been happy with second.

i would have been happy with second i would have preffered to be higher but i would have been quite happy with second.

give him chance. if we get to the grand final next week. it will all turn around again.

the start to the season did this we started off like a house on fire and everyone went over the top and didnt think a run like we had could happen.

if we have been winning a few and then losing throughout the year and finished second people wouldnt be giving this reaction now.

Now looks can be deceptive. But when having a peek at my neighbours sky telly (cos I'm too tiight to pay for it myself), Calland looked clueless. His body language looked defeatist. He appeared to lack any kind of communication with the coacjing staff and/or the players and seemed unable to change things on the pitch when it mattered and when the game could have been salvaged.

Looks can be deceptive and I could have read it wrongly.

We cant seem to be a team fired up more lke. BOTTLERS yet again every one of them. Should hang their heads in shame but they dont give a $hit most of em. Tonight showed that yet people still back them?

Wasting my breath, next Thursday cant come soon enough for me, one way or another we will know where we are, and what they are made of.
Very disapointing, no excuses, we were poor, our style of play isnt working, we still have no plan B, we entered the season with an inbalanced squad. We had it coming, I hope they prove me wrong.
And remember if Celtic and Salford were in this league we would have been worse off. and its not Callands first year, hes been with us years now.

Why does are best player this season Gleeson only play 20 minutes a match we look far better when he is on the pitch than when penky is on it

He has had 2 Months to sort us out and NOTHING has changed. I would want a new coach for next season but it aint going to happen sadly. These are areas which is why I am not happy with MC staying. Will things change for next year? I doubt it sadly as little has changed since the Sheffield defeat in may


Attack
No Structure, Headless and playing players not in their right place is always going to see us struggle. No real Stand Off or tactical kicker. Second rowers playing prop. Hookers playing Stand Off. Fullback playing Loose Forward. What are our tactics? Where is the passion and pride? Who is our leader? We have 17 headless chickens on the field who try hard but simply are going nowhere

Defence
We simply have poor tackling techniques. We do not move up as a line but rather have people shooting out the line. We have no linespeed or urgency in defence. We struggle to get back the 10-thats down to fitness! We fail to wrap the ball up in the tackle and allow teams to offload at will.

Off the Field
Its common knowledge Fax is a drinking team and alcohol plays a big part. MC has had problems in bars in halifax and in Blackpool and he is Coach. Thats poor leadership for me. Nothing wrong with a beer or two but no reason in for players to drink 48 hours before a game or to go out drinking in Town after a loss. There is no discipline for me with MC as he seems to be one of the boys rather than the father figure many of them need.
