I think it boils down to folk thinking Fax are better than we actually are. You should give Calland credit for getting the team to play such entertaining stuff at the start as opposed to what's happening now.

There's several very even teams in this comp, and I'll even bring Batley into this.

Look at our players ... there's several who aren't the best in the league, and that's not knocking the players, it's a testiment to how good and close this division is. There's a couple of Batley players who are better than ours in their respective positions, and that's not just on tonight's effort.

Won't knock individual players but would say the best players in the league at Fax in their respective positions are Gleeson and Larder. If Penky and Tamgart sorted out their disipline and cut their mistakes then maybe, and Black if he was more consistent. But the rest aren't that much greater than our rivals ... so WHY should everyone expect us to win every bluddy game we play?

what disappoints me most os that with the celtic fiasco as it is, had we still been playing well lots of outsiders wouldve been backing us to make a quick return to SL

Went to the game tonight as a neutral, but I thought you lacked confidence and belief in the first half, but at the start of the second half, the skill, pace, strength and tactics improved two fold.

When you win your next game, the confidence will be back and you will be unstoppable again

i dont expect fax to win every game and didnt think we would go unbeaten all season . but didnt think we would end up like we are at the mo

ok we look bad at the moment.
but we have a few injuries to key players.
when was doing well had james and greenwood and a full squad even though it was small.
nobody was saying calland was a bad coach then
he does not do the knock-ons, give penaltys away etc.

We do look clueless though in attack atm. When young Bowman was down injured, no one was taking control of the players, setting up the next plays. You could even hear the ref telling the tj's to look out for an early kick!
All that happened was Ben fired a high pass for Shad to take the ball up.

Also, in the last couple of plays, we only managed to criss cross across the pitch a couple of times, with Ben making small darts forward.

We have the players as was proven at the start & middle of the season, they need to believe in themselves.

After finishing 3rd last season behind a full time Salford team and a holiday visa enhanced Celtic team will 3rd this season be a good finish?

As for the team we cant even complain about a small squad because according to the club we are well within the sslary cap so there must have been money to spend.

On the team front, Royston dosnt look like the best fullback in the league does he? Goddard played tonight like he was still stumbling round the streets of France. Beswick and Penky cant play 6 but anyone with RL knowledge knew that all ready didnt they? No Mr Calland? Well Maybe you have sussed it by now. Cherryholme and Andy Bowmen i feel we would be better served playing with 12 or 11 players respectivly. If only players showed the same enthusiasm as Wrench.

Calland has stood up to the plate now a number of weeks on the trot and has come up short every time, constant tinkering with the team and a team that looks like it lacks enthusiasm whos fault is it?

Time to go Mr Calland as one of the players said at this time they dont need a drinking buddy they need a coach. One of Rhinos ambitions is to coach this team, have the board got the bottle? I doubt it.

To yuor first point i completely agree. Three years ago we only dreamed of being top of the league. Now we have held that position for a lot of this season. Therefore surely that shows Calland has done some good? We all think we should be top. What are we basing this on? there are a lot of good teams in this league and a lot of the have now found form. Don't forget wehave had a tough run of games, Fev, Widnes (who r on form), Witehaven (who have always been a funny team for us), Sheff (who had already beaten us this season) and Batley who were in a relegation Scrap.

On your second point I thought Tamghart was much improved tonight, did some fantasti running in the second half, and thats what he sould be doing. Penky looked better to me when he was talking th line on, Penky thats what your good at, catch them out offside take the line on, win penalties.

The only thing is, do we think the league is stronger or weaker than it was last season? Id say weaker. We lost Salford and Celtic to be replaced at the top of the league by Barrow who i doubt would get anywhere near the two previously mentioned teams.
