Quote justthebasicfax="justthebasicfax"Its also worth pointing out that Celtic and Quins fans aren't used to paying to watch their team or travelling...
Im sure the RFL would have given away free tickets for anyone that new what a rugby ball looked like if they could have.
I bet Siddal would have taken more to Catalan than Celtic or Quins could manage...
This age of jokers running RFL will not stand well in the History books.
At least they play RL in the south of France and love it, kick out the Welsh and Londoners.... population 10 million v people interested in RL 10(willing to pay to watch)'"
see.....after 13 posts you are already coming accross as an uneducated anti-expansionist pillock.
Regardless of what goes on at Celtic, Quins fans do pay to get in. Local Kids get free tickets and they generally add 200 to the gate. As for travelling fans and paying for it.....9,000 miles last year was the average for the away crew. Unlike a heartland club, where you can jump on a bus or train for 30 minutes to an away game, some Quins fans travel 50 miles + to a home game.
I do not understand the attitude of [ucertain[/u fans from "traditional" clubs when it comes to franchising. Yes, you follow your club and yes, you want to see the best rugby on offer, but let's face it, your last year in SL makes our crowds look like the masses led by moses
I believe Widnes will get the nod next time and if there are 2 places up for grabs, you and 2lose will be in the frame, but flatearth posts like the one above do you or your club no favours in the RL community. If you don't believe me, please point out the sympathetic threads for leigh....who spat their dummy out publicly when they didn't get in and now find themselves potentially looking at an away fixture v London Skolars next year.
