| those who are suggesting there was no atmosphere are just plain wrong.
watching the game gives no indication of what it was like to be at the game, the noise of the crowd is drowned out considerably. The atmosphere was better than that of the Shay last sunday, you simply had to be there to experience it, in which you do with most games. I dont understand why you fax fans have such a bitter grudge against us. Ok, i think we can all admit barrow wouldnt be in the position we are in today without the money des has brought in, but so what ? Atleast the guy has ambitions and passion regarding the sport itself, i think fax fans need to get over them selves and just accept the position barrow are in at the moment |

What is it with you Barrow fans and your persecution complex? Whatever forum you read where a Barrow fan posts you find accusations of fans begrudging you success.
I have spent enough time in Barrow in the past to guess why you might feel persecuted, but when it comes to RL [uNOBODY BEARS YOU ILL WILL OR HOLDS A GRUDGE AGAINST YOU[/u . In fact 99.99% of fans on the forum are chuffed for you and the way you have risen again. Maybe you think a persecution complex is a qualificiation criteria for SL or something but ffs enough is enough. I havnt heard that much repetetive moaning since I went to a Rhinos match. So get a grip and start acting like true fans and not petulent, whinging, spoilt, irritating little brats.

Here, here! I for one am really pleased that Barrow are doing well. Why would any fan of rugby league want to see another team struggling. Keep up the good work Barrow but stop being paranoid. Hopefully we might see you in the NRC final but if we dont get there may the best team win the final. |

As I said in an earlier post, I think the fans I met at The Shay when we played last weekend were top notch.
However, if you look at some posts on this forum from some Fax fans, it would seem that they DO have a problem with Barrow doing OK at the moment.
I think those posts are the ones that the Barrow fans are reacting to on here.
Good luck today vs Widnes.
I think the final will be a sell-out as Barrow sold over 800 tickets in just 4 hours on Friday morning. Lots also bought tickets on Thursday night after the match through the RFL ticket site.
I'd estimate 3,000+ from Barrow

I think its more the toss pot attitude eminating from some of the Barrow fans that people don't like.
Personally, I'm glad you lot are going well. Enjoyed both the Visits I've made to Barrow in the past (even after walking there the first time, result helped though) and hope it can continue. |
