Clubs at the top of Championship 1 who are pushing for promotion wont want to risk it
In The Championship the gap between play offs and relegation is only 2 clubs so doubt any of those will be too chuffed about it
Skolars and Gateshead will have to stay overnight just incase they make the final so that is a cost to them
These type of competitions are okay as a pre season , but since the move to summer who would risk several matches at one venue in Jan/Feb , and who would want to spend several hours watching matches freezing their whatsits off
It will be interesting to see how it goes and what quality of teams clubs send
But it comes across as an afterthought to apease fans of clubs who are just fed up and bored of little or no help from the RFL
The ' free ' TV deal that isn't working or liked by clubs or fans
The no more promotion , which just agravates the bigger Championship clubs with decent fan bases
Toulouse , who we are all suspicious of and are doing nothing except helping Ryanair and BMI Baby make a profit this year
What we do want is some serious help with marketing to get the people of the towns where we play to come down to our grounds and increase our incomes so that increasingly fed up owners/BODs dont have to dip as deep into their pockets as they do at the present
