If he gets off to a slow start it'll be interesting how long it is until the widnes fans get on his back with him having spent most of his career at warrington.
Cullen has stated he wants to get Widnes back into super league but does this mean that he got it wrong about Celtic Crusaders being a good idea ?
hindsight is a wonderful thing.....if only he knew Widnes job was coming up!!!!!
I just struggle to listen to him on Sky as either he points out the bleeding obvious or goes off and talks a load of gibberish for 5 minutes. Maybe he is a good coach but has problems communicating what he exactly means and why Wire failed to do better. Will be interesting to see how the likes of Webster, Smith and the leaders at Widnes respond to him and if they can understand what he exactly wants. I still put Widnes as Favs to win the Rail Cup and League as they are a Full Time team and they have time to pull the problems they have around. Fax are still 2nd or 3rd Favs for me for various reasons-thats nothing against the Players we have or the Coaching staff-just rather concerned we have no reserves!
I think Cullen is a great asset to the British game and hope he does reasonably well at Widnes behind a successful Halifax side.
More British coach's should be employed by clubs, he was a tough uncompromising player and I think he's a coach who thinks about the modern game.
