Not really, The groundstaff will have much longer between games to carry out any post match maintinence which they need to. Even temporary repairs will help the upkeep of the pitch.
I think we're lucky to have a decent pitch, Its level, well turfed, drains well (albeit after a lot of work, remember the old problem area infront of the skircoat? and doesnt cut up quickly. Many teams would love to be in our poisition, including some SL teams, Look at the state of The Stoop the other week.
