Sharp did look a bit, well, not very sharp towards the end of the game, but he did a ton of work and had a great game for me. I did think he was a bit faster though (when he was ripping us apart playing for Fev!). Heaton had a good game, as did pretty much the whole team.

Today's game was two equally matched teams. There was certainly no 'this is a super league side this is a Championship side' comments.
We showed what we can a hive and ha we can play. On radio Leeds RM sAid how disappointed he was with some of the refing especially then patent forward pass that gave Widnes the lead.
I'm proud today of my team and to wear the the blue and white. If we can keep playing like today we are going to be the the top 4. Proud to be a Fax Fan

Today was two teams with different outlook.

Home team, keen to recapture form. A number with other jobs but overall very fit and gave everything. Delivered above my expectation. Top four championship team

Visitors, potential banana skin, keen to recapture form. Players who should have been more fit, but were not. Players with a little more skill and composure that got them home. Bottom four Super League team.

Major disappointments. Referee looked unfit and didn't work as a team with flag men. Attendance poorer than expected as gate shared not really much use to club that would like more income.

Weather was great though.

Why wasn't the new lad given a chance Andrade from Salford. We looked to lack a bit of size for me. What's the point of getting a player for a month only then not to play him

. Apart from lacking size in middle thought we played well and moved widnes big men all over the field with our expansive game.

When signed it was said he was earmarked for the u21s v Hull first but that was postponed.Not sure if he figured in the subsequent u21 game.

He played against Dewsbury last week and scored 2 tries I believe.

Andrade might not have been available as it was a cup game, Salford might have wanted to stop him being cup tied.

I was speaking to his father at the game on Thursday and he said he was cup tied having played for North Wales Crusaders in a cup game. A great prospect let's hope we can keep him.
