| 22? Blimey, thought he was about 25.
Good luck to him.

| Sharkies building a decent team, just need to keep Carney and they'll be challenging for a Premiership over the next couple of seasons.

| Like Jonny, I thought he was older than 22, he seems to have been around for ages.
Good luck to him, the more English players that we have in the NRL should help long term.

| As a Hull supporter I am sad to see him go. I am first and foremost an Internationlist though and believe the more Brits we get into the NRL the better for the GB/Eng team. I wish a lot more young Brit players would go.

Hock likely to join Tom Briscoe in NRL next year and Sam Tomkins will probably follow the year after.

| So that's another of Hull's marquee players following Manu out the door.
The owner supposedly looking to get back involved with professional football.
Yep, the Pearson era is off to a fine start.

Re Pearson, he never seems to hang a round too long where ever he's been, I get the impression he treets his sports clubs like toys, once he's bored of a certain toy, he chucks it in the bin and goes and buy a new one.

Briscoe was always likely to want to try himself in the NRL at the end of his contract - it was being discussed before Pearson even bought the club. Not sure he can be described as a marquee player in the way the word is usually applied either, albeit one of our best. Likewise Manu.
If he does go - and it hasn't been confirmed yet although I consider it likely - then he'll retain the support of the vast majority of Hull fans.
Oh - as for Pearson getting back into soccer, it might have escaped your notice but he was involved in soccer when he bought the club in the first place and didn't leave by choice.

Are you willing to sacrifice the regular season to mediocrity, just to see a more competitive international showing at the end of the year? I can certainly understand that it's important to be competitive, but a mass exodus of all our brightest talent to the NRL leaves us watching games throughout the season without the magic that names like Tomkins, Briscoe, Roby etc. provide. I personally see it as a catch-22 situation.
