I don't need to be a religious scholar to know that the earth and all life on it wasn't created by an invisible man in the sky; it astounds me that seemingly intelligent people continue to peddle this claptrap. The funny thing with faith, Stan, is that it means you don't know either. You have a certainty that is based on nothing more than a cultural wish. You know as much as everyone else about an afterlife. Nothing. As for a personal relationship with god, what you really mean is you have a personal relationship with your own mind. I don't have a god - and yes, no afterlife is exactly what I'm banking on; for that reason, I try to make best use of the time I have available, safe in the knowledge that dead is dead.
