| ..... and a ref that couldnt control the game, cost us the chance to go top of the league.
0-0 at half time. i think the defence was outstanding considering we had less men on the pitch the majority of the game.
but we need to complete our sets and play OUR game instead of the oppositions game.
thoughts on the game?........

| Gutted if I'm honest. We held them for the first half and were getting on top when a brain-fart by a certain winger saw him sent off. He's the only one I have an issue with - tripping is stupid - but I'm finding it hard to blame to other lads for losing their tempers eventually. That said, if some lads had just controlled themselves I'm certain we would have won.
I know we shouldn't criticise officials but that ref let so much go it was inevitable someone was going to snap. We were simply offered no protection and then getting penalised or binned if we reacted. I took a knee dropped on my throat, 3 swinging high shots and an elbow to the face without getting anything, and got penalised and sin-binned for bugger all.
That they won with us only having 12, 11 or 10 men on the pitch says a lot, and even then they only scraped it. To be fair their defence was strong but we had the beating of them. Our handling wasn't too bad for the most but 3-4 poor decisions or bad hands at key moments cost us dearly.
Discipline needs sorting and will be addressed, and of course there are the fines to consider. When we had possession and kept hold of it our go-forward was strong, and communication was good. Overall Saturday ended up being a very bad day and there are issues to address, but with plenty of improvement still to come we're slowly getting there.

| we havent played anywhere near to our full potential yet mate. I think the ill discipline started before the winger got sent off though, i thought it crept in when Hindley got sin binned for a swinging arm (his first tackle)
i thought our defence was colossal mate! everyone stood up in defence, but watching it we tried to many offloads (that didnt pay off) in stupid areas of the pitch on 1st and 2nd tackles.
i agree the ref was extremely poor and didnt control/handle the game well at all, but i think we all knew what to expect before the game when we saw which ref turned up.
Im confident if we complete our sets, and defend like we did on saturday we will win the league. they were not a good side at all. I am positive they will drop points in this league and like i say we have not fulfilled our true potential yet.
