The new clubs set up at local level will run through the summer and want to play RL not watch the Crusaders
As far as loads of players returning to the other code is concerned, thats a bit of an overstatement as we only had 20 odd players in the Crusaders reserves anyway. Those who want to continue playing RL will now be staying with the new South Wales club.
I have also heard that quite a few new players have their names down for the South Wales' trial particulary as "Bridgend" aren't running things anymore .
No one from the U18 side has quit because The Crusaders are now U' Wrexham
And as far as The betrayal by the Crusaders management is concerned , the club had two choices - Fold or move up North .
Thats economy reality brought on by the Credit Crunch which has effected thousands of British workers' jobs never mind where the Crsuaders play'"
Oh don't talk s h i t Port!
The situation has changed and lots of lads interested in league last season have now binned it. I never said it was just Crusaders reserves binning the game - because lots haven't. But of over 3000 registered league players in Wales, you can knock 500 off that for starters. some of the new schools playing it have already jacked.
I will be FIRMLY supporting the Scorps (and ONLY the Scorps) in pro/semipro league.
As far as the Crusaders goes, it had SEVERAL choices. There was a firm consortium bid from Bridgend, for the club but not the debts. It's not economic reality, it is the personal incompetence of Leighton Samuel and Mike Turner.
Accept reality you fool and stop trying to paint things the way you prefer.
