Couldn't keep away. So choked down the disgust at the "management" of the game and hopeed on board with the only WELSH (as opposed to ANZAC) semi-pro RL side.
The Scorpions received so may applications for their open-trial that they couldn't cope with the numbers
and shows that RL in South Wales is still alive and kicking
and I quote from the website
"The club have been overwhelmed by the amount of young Welsh players who want to play professional rugby league. Almost 100 applications were received, more than expected, and because of this, some players have been emailed and have been told they won't get a trial this time around. However they have been told that the door is never closed, to keep playing for their local Conference club and the opportunity may arise again in the future."

Quote: Bridgend_HKR "Yh I agree with Wildy, forget about the 'Wrexham' Crusaders until the day of the Welsh derby
Yes let's forget the Welsh Wrexham Crusaders (even though Wrexham does not feature in their actual name) and support Hull KR who we have no past link to and are just about the furthest club away from us apart from Catalan.
Lew, if you look at the registered company name, the new club is registered as Wrexham Crusaders. He chose HKR because they never sh@ on us and he had a good crack with the fans. Why should anyone down here care about PAST history with the Celtic Crusaders (whose management did shiit on us) just because half a dozen or so Wrexham Crusaders staff used to be involved with our now defunct team?
150 miles, 350 miles what's the diff when they're both so far away?
