In fairness, reality sucks just now.
The Daily Mail and "Express" versions of reality, make it easier for some to sleep at night.

My post above was intended to stimulate a stale thread, admittedly with an element of tongue in cheek as wrenners suspected, why do you think I have a principal objection that nobody will give him credit when it shows that you at least agree he's helping to solve the problem.

| The only stage that de Pfeffel should be on is the one at the comedy store because he was and still is just one big joke.

Johnson is just following the major world leaders - slowly and, in the case of the Tory-backing oligarchs, inadequately. Your desperate attempt to create a false, almost comedic, impression of world leadership is fooling nobody but yourself.

| So Georgia and Ukraine are about to submit applications for EU membership. This along with Sweden and Finland increasingly likely to try and join NATO, and China and India gradually distancing themselves from Russia, it seems Russia is becoming very isolated. Hopefully Ukraine can hold out long enough and force Russia to deescalate.

| The one problem we all have is that we're saturated with news from one side of the divide. We hear how russian news outlets are broadcasting propaganda and the majority of russians believe it, but who's to say its not happening to us also?

Following world major leaders "plural" who are these people?
Slowly and in the case of Tory backing oligarchs inadequately, what does that mean?.
I asked if people on here were impressed by Boris's interaction in this unsavoury business, and because you can't grasp the simplicity of my question I'm desperately attempting to create a false almost comedic impression of world leadership, but it's not fooling you only myself, well you've certainly got me sussed out cous, perhaps you'd like to explain your thoughts on that one.

I think it’s time for you to give up your attempt to get another thread blocked. I wonder how many you have been successful in doing so since your return to the forum. I would suggest you do a little more reading because you would not need to ask some of the questions you do, but that is your intention, I doubt other than you and the goldfish weekly have not covered the 18 month grace period given to the existing Russian oligarchs to sort their finances out.
I will suggest that others follow the same rule because you never know you may learn something, if you really want to or maybe you should just concentrate on fish be it trapped in a glass case or ruthlessly being caught by the French or Spanish who may just have had their fishing industries better prepared for Brexit.

| So Bojo partied with friends whilst the rest of the country weren’t allowed to see their dying relatives but because he gave Russian oligarchs 2 weeks to sell their uk assets before sanctions hit we should somehow praise him? Yeah ok Chisett. Good one

| Quote: chissitt "Following world major leaders "plural" who are these people?'" Biden, the EU, Germany and France have been the leaders, setting policy, co-ordinating sanctions and directing the world's attention.
One of the biggest and most notable developments is the cohesion of the EU. As one of the twin guarantors of peace across Europe, alongside NATO, since World War 2, its original strengths are shining through with endangered countries looking to join and a strong, co-ordinated, response to both Russia's aggression and to the refugee crisis.
All of which has only served to make Britain look even weaker and less important. And, of course, a quick look at the people who were most anti-EU reveals they are and were also most often pro-Putin. How's Nigel Farrige getting on right now, still busy trying to execute that 360 degree turn away from Putin's embrace?

Given Putin has now shutdown all independent media, leaving journalists having to flee the country, has jailed the leader of the opposition for criticising him and is arresting people in their thousands for peaceful protest. It’s a fair bet that the state controlled Russia Today is propaganda.
Every reason he’s given to justify the invasion makes no sense. They’re already bordered by NATO countries and Ukraine haven’t even joined. They’re already bordered by EU countries. The supposed attacks on russain speakers in the Donbass region were so bad that people there have been on the streets blocking Russian conveys and telling their soldiers to go home.
There’s enough video evidence on social media of captured Russian soldiers who have no clue why they’re there as even they’ve been lied to.

Of course they are. Putin is everything they want in their leader. Authoritarian, hyper nationalist, anti environmentalist, and anti EU with draconian social policies.
