The only message there is that misogyny has no geographic boundaries

Nice present, that. Bet she enjoyed it and was happy the food she cooked as a result was appreciated. That's what cooking's about, taking pleasure in seeing people relish that what you've put thought and effort into for them. It's a great feeling.
Gonna suggest it as a Father's Day present from the children to my husband. He'd love it, but would probably prefer a curry course to Italian.
What are your specialities when you do cook? Don't you enjoy it?

The only cookery show (if you can call it that) I watch.
I've made it my gastronomical mission to visit as many of the restaurants featured on the show as possible. So far fifteen have been sampled and thoroughly enjoyed. However I've yet to undertake any of the food challenges. Although I've shuffled out of many feeling like I just have. It's when walking from the restaurant through the parking lot to the car, induces a light sweat on the brow and an impromptu rest in the car, that indicates you might have had a tad too much. You know it's job well done.

Likewise.
I can remember the Triple D episode with the old couple who had done I think it was 300 locations from the series. That's the life.
Have to disagree with Minty on MvF as well. While the challenge part of the show is more about gluttony than quality, the first half is normally Richman going to well known local eateries and sampling the best an area has to offer.
It may not be high end cuisine, but it's primarily about good food and has as much of a home on a food based channel as something done by a Michelin starred chef.

Quite. Women are genetically disposed to cooking and it was inevitable that you would find your way in there and spend many a happy hour therein to provide for the man in your life.

That's dipstickery even by your standards.
Besides, tell it to Gordon, the Rouxs, Raymond and many, many more.
