Awful day.
Apparently the wreckage is still stored in Lincolnshire, they must be keeping it just in case further investigations are needed.

Famous for his litany of profanities was the four **** General.

I saw him at Sheffield Arena shortly before he died, he was touring with his own band playign original material as a support act to The Who, we'd got in early and sat through their whole set, whoever they were they were very good, not as good as The Who of course, but too good to be a support band.

| On this day - 1970.
The North Tower of the World Trade in Manhattan, New York is topped out at 1,368 feet, making it the tallest building in the world.
It never quite made it's 21st birthday.

Slightly OT - If anyone is looking for a good read, i can thoroughly recommend the book "Bury my heart at Wounded Knee"
A pretty horrific account of how the west was really won

| On this day - Saddam Hussein was executed.
Did they ever get a refund from the firm that filmed it? Shocking quality. Can hardly hear what they're saying.
