I havnt the time or inclination to go and find loads of alternative arguments to what you lot are putting forward.

People enter police custody in all kinds of states and die for a variety of tragic reasons. Each is investigated independently. The comments about the EDL were to illustrate the fact that people use racism as a way to manipulate how people think and vote to obscure other issues hence me comparing it to the Tories using woke culture etc to provide a smokescreen to other things that they are doing. the fact that this whole discussion is about race and not about the governments queens speech about what they are planning to do about democracy and the NHS illustrates that.

Its like we cannot be happy in our country any more without a fool bringing up something to complain or play the victim.

Labour are a crap political party no longer for the working class (of which I am one ) but would never vote for a party this badly run.I do think we need a party that can challenge the tories.

Prejudice exists in all forms of life and its abhorent but that prejudice is more a apparent across class and wealth than across race in this country. The heightened focus around BLM has (in my opinion) started to do more harm than good. We live in a country where there are circa 3% afro Caribbean decent and 8% Asian yet there push for equal representation is seeing (certainly on TV) people who are not really suited to the roles they are being given getting in them with a view it is just to meet a quota. I'd say TV has an anti ugly / anti fat bias, even the BAME representation is pretty and slim (unless they're meant to be funny) Footballers taking the knee to show a stand against racism in a sport that has no 'out' gay players is laughable.
Is it better to silence peoples views or let them be aired and let the public decide whether they agree, if not form an intelligent argument. At least that way we know who we're dealing with. Jobs should go to the best person for the job, not the whitest, blackest, prettiest or not as in most cases the wealthiest old school connection.

Yes also there are too many minorities on tv especially on ads this does not reflect the society we live in.

Why does it matter what colour someone’s skin is in an advert on TV ?

If for 60 years all adverts were white people and now some adverts have black people why does it matter ?

It is like those people who said they were going to boycott Sainsbury’s because their Xmas ad had a black family in it. Why ?

I just saw a family like mine , celebrating Xmas with Turkey and decorations and presents etc.

I know some people find this hard to understand but in my experience most black people are like me.
Working class, trying to have a better life for themselves and their children , doing the same things as you and me. Having the same colour blood so when I see them on TV it does not even register that there is something different about them representing Sainsbury’s shoppers like me .

i agree colour of skin should not be a problem on tv but when there are actors/actresses not getting a job because of their skin colour that must be wrong even in your one eyed take on society.
It is obvious that there is a direction to employ more minorities thus it must be racist in the definition .And you cannot say they are trying to even it out as it has been pointed out that there are only 7% of our population minorities.

Actually people do understand and yes black people are like us some are good some are bad some are really scum just like every race on this earth.
